Washington D.C.

Every one who lives in the states should get the opportunity to visit D.C. From Indy, you hop on sometimes a very tiny commercial airplane that takes you straight to D.C. Once you are in D.C. there’s plenty of walking to be done. Make sure to bring a good water bottle and comfy walking shoes. Plan to spend days on end seeing all the monuments around town as well as many Smithsonian museums. My dad and I even did a Spy Museum tour, that actually got cut short because we couldn’t visit Ambassador Drive due to a police investigation blocking it off. What a great city. A bit expensive to visit actually. Hotels are not cheap and neither are cabs. However, the metro system is great and pretty neat to see. Make sure to visit Union Station for the huge food court and great open room right above it.
