I have been blessed with a mother who likes to travel, and likes to travel with her daughter. Otherwise, I’m not sure I’d be visiting some of the places we’ve been without her. Hawaii is tiny islands that were created from volcanoes basically. When you say it without knowing how beautiful Hawaii really is, you’d get this picture like Mars in mind of the place. When in all actual reality, it’s one of the most beautiful and vibrant places to visit. The residents are by far some of the happiest folks around. They love Spam for some reason, rice is served with every dish, and they really do wear Hawaiian shirts.
Pineapples are amazing there because that’s where they harvest them. Did you know it takes 48 months to grow a full pineapple? No wonder they are so expensive. Makes me want to cut off the top of the next one I buy and plant in a pot at home – which did you know you can grow one that way? Four years later, you might have a pineapple. Be sad to go three years and then it just dies on you. That’s a long time to commit with a plant. Just don’t buy pineapple flavored coffee… stick to straight kona coffee there.
I’m set on believing the best way to visit Hawaii is via a cruise liner. That way they take you from island to island and have planned excursions to highlight the top sites. On our trip we visited four places: Hilo, Honolulu, Kuai, and Maui. We got to snorkel Molokini Crater, experience a luau, and saw an active volcano.
